Know No
Excerpted from “The Sacred Dictionary,” which highlights the living meaning carried by a single word
“No is a complete sentence.”
No = to refuse, to disagree
Know No No is universal. A single syllable with infinite possibilities. A resounding boundary for your boundless self that invites others to discover their own parameters No calls you to choose to choose rather than lose free will and pay the price of being nice without meaning it
No positively affirms your limits makes clear that you will not invest in the distress of an indiscriminate yes that sacrifices sovereignty
The beauty of No is it allows you to stand on Wholly ground caring without carrying the variety of positions of others
yet not knowing no prevents consent leads to resenting others for trespassing invisible tracks complacency leaves a vacancy a negation of sensation in the body numbing its needs while feeding others fakery.
not knowing no cuts off cues to use our inner compass where True Will lies in stead feigning yes to acquiesce to parents whose deeds impede healthy differentiation reliant on our compliance or else sending crippling ripples of hurt leaving us inert and indecisive having learned to distrust our signals and senses resigned to confine our inspired desires
How then, do we grow our Nos’? Gradually… by giving space for the soul to be with the hole of not No-ing. When we safely sense the ensuing emptiness, our latent longings can solidly rise and freely reside alongside Us, maturing the yearning for Aliveness. If we get to know the impersonal roots of rejection, we can learn to better tolerate it as part of the cost of living a vibrant Life.
like a double negative that is positive you must know No to say yes to your depth you can not not say it unless you tie your presence in knots
May you dare not not be you!
